Police cuffed three people on Sunday for allegedly hoarding 33 firearms in their East Flatbush apartment.

Authorities claim that officers from the 67th Precinct received a tip about a man collecting a large number of firearms in his apartment on Linden Boulevard between Rogers and Bedford avenues on Aug. 17. When cops knocked on the apartment’s door, a woman answered, told police her son wasn’t home, and slammed the door — but officers soon caught the 40-year-old man as he tried to flee through the fire escape, CBS reported.

Police obtained a search warrant on Aug. 18, and uncovered 18 assault rifles, 12 handguns, two shotguns, a rifle, one imitation firearm, and ammunition from the East Flatbush home.

Authorities arrested the three occupants of the apartment on multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to a police spokesman.

“Superman has nothing on your @NYPD67Pct #FIO & #DomesticViolence Team. This morning they too saved countless lives, in #EastFlatBush,” the 67th precinct tweeted on Monday morning.

Neighborhoods included in the NYPD’s Northern Brooklyn Patrol District — which includes East Flatbush, Brownsville, and Crown Heights — have seen a minor surge in shooting incidents this year, with 127 shootings this year compared to 120 shootings in 2018, according to police data.

In the 67th Precinct, 18 people have suffered gunshot wounds this year.

SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced today it was awarded a spot on a potential 10-year, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that provides a wide range of analytic and operational support services to the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The multiple-award IDIQ contract—known as Solutions for Intelligence Analysis 3 (SIA 3)—has a combined $17.1 billion ceiling.

SIA 3 is the primary contract vehicle for providing intelligence analytical support to Department of Defense (DoD) warfighters, planners, and policy professionals worldwide. Task orders awarded under the contract will support five key mission priorities: analysis, scientific military research, engineering, network operations, and counterintelligence.

SOSi already supports DIA with mission-critical language and IT services. The SIA 3 award provides new opportunities for SOSi to build on its legacy of also providing U.S. military and intelligence community agencies with multi-domain intelligence collection and analytic support.
